Sam’s Photo Blog

My name is Samuel Cheng and I am currently in my 3rd year Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. My first started taking pictures when my brother was too lazy to do his own photography assignment and sent me to the Santa Claus Parade, my dad set up his old Canon FT SLR and taught me how to focus and fire away. When digital cameras came out we bought the Toshiba PDR4300 and I got in the habit of bringing my camera everywhere I go and experiment with the different settings.

Currently my brother, Horace, and I are both using the Pentax K10D so we can share lenses. We have even started a photo-a-day project, Squinty-Eyes.

I am been a contract photographer on an occasional basis for the New England Aquarium, Buskro Ltd, Wedding, and Banquets.
