Fire, Baby, and a Walk in the Park

March 5, 2008

Some more photos from reading week. Was walking around with Horace, you can still see the warm Californian sun on his face!

There was a massive fire along Queen St and several buildings were completely devastated.

We went to visit Justin’s newborn baby, it is magical to see life being created. Must be a very exciting time for Justin and Onika.

If you are interested in more baby pictures, you can find them HERE.

Our 3B Design Project, a mechatronics nut sorter, is due in 2 weeks! Our class has taken over the machine shop. I will post more updates on that after the competition.

Horace’s Surprise Birthday

November 30, 2007

It has been a pretty hectic week but the weekend is coming so I can catch up on some sleep and assignments.

Rishi and Charlie had taken Horace out for dinner last Friday while we gathered in the house. We setup the surprise by hiding in the pitch black storage room while Horace came in to get a coke for Rishi. We shouted surprise the moment the lights went on and then Kenny came from behind and pie Horace in the face!

The rest of the evening we played Smash Brothers, chat, and fly the Air Hog Helicopters.

Sneezing and Coughing

November 15, 2007

So I have been hacking and coughing for the past 2 weeks and . The most depressing thing was losing my sense of smell, all the food tasted the same and n.

The benefits of working for a toy company is that I get to try out different toys. Before Horace leave for Hong Kong we had played with some Air Hogs Storm Launchers.

These guys fly are a lot of fun but you do need some packing tape and hot glue gun on standby since they crash pretty hard as well.

PDEng Assignment 3 is due next Wednesday and I still haven’t done the second one. The assignment instructions is 9 pages long! I can’t even get past the first paragraph until it is the day before it is due. I just want to finish this last course and never have to worry about these assignments again.

Uncle Sammy!

October 3, 2007

I am an UNCLE?! I certainly don’t feel like one, nor do I act like one.
This weekend we met up with our cousins and hung out with their kids. It was so much fun!

At first they were a bit shy and played with their own toys and amongst themselves.

But once it got started…..there was no stopping.

“Do it ‘gain!” - Horace and I became manual labor for lifting them.

We were so loud other patrons in a Chinese Restaurant complained about us!

This is Mackenzie using her camera to a picture of Horace!
