Bon Echo Provincial Park

October 13, 2009

We have returned to Bon Echo again. This time we also had the same lovely weather, fall colors, and a bunch of loud mouthed friends.

A day-long route looping from Mazinaw through Kishebus Lake.

A brutal 1.5km portage carrying 75lb canoes.

Looking up at the canopy.

The vibrant colors under the sun.

It was my first time seeing an owl. We also watched a raccoon family swim across the lake.

Our super fortress that navigated around a narrow S-bend. My canoe almost flipped!

Aaron’s idea of adventure, the Gaping Hole, literally a hole in the cliff.

The view from the Gaping Hole.

Long story…involving Rishi flipping a canoe with all the camera stuff in it. Luckily he got out safely and the gear didn’t get damaged!

Hanging out at the lookout point.

Freshwater flamingos. :D
